OK, just to get things started here, I’ll post a pattern I’ve used in a few of my customs. I use this where the thought being introduced might trigger a “where did this idea come from?” response. The idea is to answer that thought with:
You have always felt this way.
I have always felt this way.
The silence before and after gives the subconscious mind a chance to both ask the question, and process the provided response.

Nice touch!
06/22/2013 at 1:59 amFizbin,
Trainer gave me access to the gold forum for this ID so I can respond now. That seems like an interesting idea. I never thought about how she might question where some of her thoughts came from. That’s a good idea to place at the end of the custom.

Welcome!
As for this quote, I actually embed it (or just the “I have” side of it) after any thought I think might be a change for her, rather than just at the end.

The “pause” for absorption is a great idea. My reason for writing is to share with everyone why I know this. My girl is hearing impaired – really hearing impaired. One of the things I’ve learn on that journey is that hearing and comprehension are two different things. Just because it’s in the language you speak – perhaps in in the exact dialect – doesn’t mean that it’s instantly comprehensible. Especially with ideas that the mind is not expecting, it often takes the brain time to process what it’s heard. That’s why extra time between statements is a great thing. Give that idea time to sink in. Also it adds to the air of relaxation and no stress listening. The listener doesn’t feel like she needs to work at listening – she can relax. As we know relaxation is key to acceptance in this endeavor. So I just want to let everyone know there is good science behind Fizbin’s concept of time for comprehension.
Not meaning to be bossy – but hey I actually knew something. Around here I don’t get that chance very often.

02/16/2014 at 11:22 pmI think that idea came from Trainer actually. Many have extrapolated that to putting pauses between sentences instead of blocks. I myself know my wife is a slow reader and slow to process info, so I set Cepstral Amy to neg 7 on speed, and 2 sec pause between affirmations. I set that up using Pauses and text insertions under the TexAloud menu, it does it for me so my scripts are more readable

Thanks for the technical data – because I’m just starting out with this custom stuff. And making sure the tempo is right is a huge thing for my situation. My girl has a distinctive rhythm to her speech and I want to be sure to slow this down enough to be easily assimilated by her. So I appreciate the help!

02/17/2014 at 1:36 amSome things that weren’t readily apparent in the beginning, use a slower speed for your voice most use -5. If using multiple scripts, make sure you extend it in audacity to atleast 10 minutes, so that each script has a chance to repeat several times and sink in before switching topics/scripts

Thanks for starting this.
I have been thinking about adding always been, always felt this way to some of my scripts.
Do you put it right after the key idea you are trying to solidify ?02/17/2014 at 5:52 amGenerally, I try to use it to reinforce newer ideas.
02/17/2014 at 4:28 pmOther similar affirmations:
This is my idea.
This is my choice.Or similarly worded statements.
