Now that I have Dream Girls members area upgraded just the way we like it and Dream Girls website face lift is completed, I’ve been working the idea to design a new MP3 Player that will replace the Lee MP3 Player software.
The research is coming along fine but I like to get members input for the new software.
The version it will support Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8
Ideas for new features welcome just email me if you come up with something.
We will keep one of the basic features where the player hides in the background playing the MP3.
I’ve have been thinking of adding a play list.
Like I said ideas welcome

Number of times each file playsloops before advancing to the next file
Volume equalization (i.e. there’s not a huge difference in volume levels between files)
Ability to have 2 files (i.e. a silent and a ‘front track’) playing at once09/06/2014 at 3:31 amwill there ever be a version compatible with a mac?

Password protected access to see it and enter through some innocent looking windows information BS screen that comes up with only an OK button that closes the window. You need to know to type in the password and press enter to get into the program. Perhaps only pops up the BS access window from the run window.
Runs in background and loads every time windows boots.
Some innocuous windows like name in case she alt-tabs or C-A-D into it.“nice to have” a playlist or at least repeat all files in a sub-directory until i turn it off.
“nice to have” it set a repeat number for each song but I can copy paste the files 4 or 5 times if needed.
“nice to have” ability to start/ stop based on time of day / day of week (to protect the kids who might be at home).
“nice to have” ability to run different playlists based on time of day / day of week. Ties into the above (I like to do my homework, etc.) Could also be used when away from home to build excitement / arousal before master returns.Runs behind other sound players in case she listens to other music, e.g. Pandora, while online.
09/06/2014 at 11:35 pmLee player is decent, but for whatever reason on my computer, sometimes when I open a file, it gets stuck and won’t open. I have to restart the computer to get lee player working. I’d say this happens about 75% of the time and it’s kind of annoying. Hopefully the new player will be better in that aspect.
10/01/2014 at 6:25 pmOkay guys thanks for your advice it was helpful in planing the MP3 Player development…
we started the construction on the new, TJ MP3 Player that will be ready before the holidays.
This is going to be the beta version for the new Player but I believe your all going to love the playlist feature

A nice to have feature as part of the installer is to make it restart itself on computer boot-up. The subliminal text/image program that is running on the wife’s computer allowed me to set an option at installation so that it modified the registry/Windows boot package to restart the program when Windows boots. Also, even though you hit the X and close the program, it remains running and even when it starts on a reboot it is still not displayed in the Windows Task Bar, the only way to access it is to restart the program from the exe icon or shortcut. The only way to kill it is via the Cntrl-Alt-Del process window.
10/12/2014 at 1:07 amYeah the new version going to be a lot smoother with these new features. The player will have the reboot option
And a nice playlist feature.
The part I like is the password feature where you’ll be able to set a master password. So only the Master will have access to the player.
Cheers,

What’s the name of the program you’re using?

It is still a little buggy: I found that if you create a custom message and then go back and edit it, it doesn’t always save the edit. So I end up deleting the original and adding the new/corrected version.
The program crashed once and erased all of my custom messages so I had to put them all back in, but so far it has been a couple reboots and all my customs are still there.
